Consultation notes

Consultation

There are certain steps that need to be taken in order to maintain the proper health and safety standards before even starting on the model.

- Place a wrap on the client to protect the clothes or costume that can be affected by any falling product.
- Tie hair out of the face and clip back fringes with sectioning clips.
- Have a consultation with the model asking them about their hair, skin type and any allergies that they may have, looking for any contraindications that may hinder the procedure or application of a certain product.
- Ask if they are wearing contact lenses, if so extra caution needs to be taken around the eye area.

If there is no contraindication that prevents the procedure, begin to set up and continue.

Before I applied any products to Grace's face I did a consultation to make sure that she doesn't have any outstanding allergies or conditions that will prevent makeup application. As there was no contraindication we were able to continue with Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising.
